India win 6 gold in Kung-Fu event in Nepal

India reaped a rich dividends, wining 21 medals, including six golds, in the first International Junior and Senior Kung-Fu championship at Tirupureshwor in Kathmandu.

Organised by Nepal Kung-fu Association under the aegis of Nepal Sports Council, the competition proved to be a good outing for India as besides the gold, they also won three silver and 12 bronze.

Rakesh Sharma, Himani Kapoor, Suchitra KC, Megharaj and others fetched six golds in Sanda (Combat fight Category) while Siddhartha Sharma won Bronze in Junior Taolu Event.

State sports Minister Gopi Achami gave away the awards to the participants. He honoured Om Prakash, President and Cheif Coach of Lu Tran Kung-Fu Association, Sham Sunder Sharma, Vice-President (LTKFA) and Sanjay Sharma, General Secretary and Team Manager (LTKFA).
