India wins tourism awards in London

India today won two major awards at the World Travel Mart in London including an award for leading destination.

Minister for Tourism Subodh Kant Sahay received the awards - World's leading Destination and World's leading Tourist Board, Incredible India - at a function in London this evening.

Sahai said India plans to increase its tourist arrival from the current five million this year to 10 million in another 2-3 years.

Speaking to reporters here, Sahai added that an additional five million tourist arrival would create 25 million more jobs.
