One Joydeb Karmakar (22) was tending his cows yesterday near the border pillar at Karmakartila, about 15 km south-west from the Puratan Rajbari police station, when a group of about five Bangladeshis entered the Indian territory from across the border and forcibly dragged him to Bangladesh, police said.

Subdivisional police officer of Belonia visited the place yesterday and requested BSF to take up the matter with Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) for his safe release, police said.
