'Iran frees two German journalists'

Iran has freed two detained German journalists, state media reported, adding that Berlin's foreign minister Guido Westerwelle is arriving later on Saturday in Tehran.

Iran has freed two detained German journalists, state media reported, adding that Berlin's foreign minister Guido Westerwelle is arriving later on Saturday in Tehran.

"The two accused detained in Tabriz have been released and are departing for their home country," Malek Ajdar Sharifi, judiciary head of Iran's East Azerbaijan, was quoted as saying by state news agency IRNA of the Germans.

In a separate report, IRNA also reported that Westerwelle was set to arrive later in the day in Tehran.
