A Palestinian activist was killed by the Israeli army in the West Bank early today, the Palestinian security services said.

A Palestinian activist was killed by the Israeli army in the West Bank early today, the Palestinian security services said.
Ala Abu Al-Rub, 21, a member of Islamic Jihad's armed wing the Al Qods Brigades, was shot dead by Israeli soldiers at his home at Qabatiya near Jenin in the north of the West Bank, they said.
Questioned by AFP a military spokesman in Tel Aviv did not confirm or deny the report.
