The tally of A(H1N1) virus infections in Japan reached 3,122 by early Wednesday but most of the people who were infected have already recovered, it said. Japan has yet to report any deaths from the virus.

Separately 25 travellers have tested positive for the virus at airports, the ministry said. The virus was first reported in Japan in early May and quickly spread through high schools in western cities before infecting the wider population.
