According to the United Nations, 600,000 houses have been destroyed or damaged and fresh aftershocks and the stench of rotting bodies has made it hard for nervous survivors to return to their homes.

The footage of the disaster from different places in Nepal show the enormity of as well as the destruction brought about by the massive quake. One of them even captures the plight of climbers caught in an avalanche triggered by the temblor on the Mount Everest.
