A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck on Tuesday off Sulawesi island in central Indonesia, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicentre was 161 kilometres (100 miles) deep, and 68 kilometres (42 miles) south of the city of Gorontalo.
There was no potential for a tsunami, Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said, and no damage was immediately reported.
