The agencies said that the IDPs are already facing shortage of shelters and have been forces to make temporary homes on land prone to flooding.
Displacement is also intensifying as the war intensifies.
The agencies, quoting Government Agents, said displacement continues with families moving further east into the Kilinochchi district and onward to Mullaitivu.
