Nepalese migrants return home to participate in CA polls
A large number of migrant Nepalese labours in Nainital are returning to their home land to participate in the historic April 10 Constituent Assembly polls in the Himalayan nation.
"This is a time when we would like to witness and participate in the election as well as we can harvest the wheat crop that is ready on our fields back at home," said Shaker Singh Mal, a migrant labour.
Large number of labourers from west Nepal districts like Kanchanpur, Dhangari, Mahendranagar, Darchula work in the state especially in tourist towns such as Nainital and Mussoorie.
Security has been beefed up along the international border and Special 19 Border Observation Posts are also being set up for this occasion, officials said, adding the border will be sealed from midnight of April 9 to April 10.
