The celebrations will kick-start on August 15 with an event 'Tiranga' and will culminate on January 26 next year (India's Republic Day), showcasing the country's rich cultural heritage, rapid economic growth and technological capabilities.

The Indian consulate in Dubai is roping in some of the leading corporate houses from India for the purpose, a consulate press release said on Sunday.

The mega event in Dubai for the first time will bring together maestros of Indian classical music such as Pandit Jasraj, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Vidhwan U Srinivas, Pandit Bhawani Shankar Kathak, Vijay Ghate and SV Ramani as well as renowned poet Javed Akhtar.

They will pay tribute to India and its national flag through music and poetry.
