Security forces killed seven pro-Taliban militants while they were trying to enter the restive Swat district in northwest Pakistan, security officials said on Thursday.

Security forces killed seven pro-Taliban militants while they were trying to enter the restive Swat district in northwest Pakistan, security officials said on Thursday.
The militants fired indiscriminately at security personnel when they were intercepted in Totano Bandai area on Wednesday night.
The troops killed seven rebels in retaliatory action.
The militants were trying to enter Swat district from the adjacent Dir district.
