Qantas drama: Air France has no plans to ground A380 jets
Air France said today it had no plans to ground its four Airbus A380 superjumbo passenger airliners after one operated by Australia's Qantas was forced to make an emergency landing in Singapore.

Air France said on Thursday it had no plans to ground its four Airbus A380 superjumbo passenger airliners after one operated by Australia's Qantas was forced to make an emergency landing in Singapore.
The French carrier said its A380s were equipped with jet engines built by Engine Alliance, a consortium of Pratt and Wittney, General Electric and Safran, whereas Qantas was flying with Rolls Royce motors.
Qantas has already grounded all six of its Airbus superjumbos following Thursday's drama aboard one of its jets, which had 450 people on board and landed trailing smoke from a blackened engine.
