Rice says US working towards "durable" ceasefire
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said today the United States was working towards a ceasefire in Gaza that was "durable and sustainable."

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said on Friday the United States was working toward a ceasefire in Gaza that was "durable and sustainable."
She said she would not travel to the region at this point to try to broker an end to the violence. Israel began air strikes on the Gaza Strip last Saturday.
