"We definitely will," lead attorney Vadim Klyuvgant was quoted as saying by Interfax when asked about the appeal.

A Moscow court found Khodorkovsky and his co-defendent Platon Lebedev guilty of embezzlement and money laundering in a conviction that could see the former Yukos oil company executive remain in jail until 2017.

It was not immediately clear when Judge Viktor Danilkin intended to pass sentence.
