In his new autobiography, So Much Life, Pal Sarkozy (81) confessed that he has been an insatiable philanderer ever since he was just 11, the Daily Mail reported.
The confession by Sarkozy senior is considered to cause huge embarrassment to President Sarkozy.
Four times married Sarkozy senior also admits to regularly cheating on Andree, the mother of his three sons, before finally abandoning her when Nicolas was just five.
The senior Sarkozy, a minor Hungarian aristocrat who arrived in France after World War Two as a refugee, writes that he had no option but to 'give free rein to my affairs as if they were never important.'
Likening himself to an addict, the former advertising executive said: "If you ask an alcoholic to stop, he'll say yes to have peace but won't keep his promises until one awakening ruder than the rest makes him change course, as one needs courage to renounce one's addictions."
"I never had that strength; I don't think I even wanted to have it," he adds poignantly.
His ex-wife Cecilia of being a 'womaniser' who was always inviting girlfriends back to the Elysee Palace for 'late night karaoke sessions' also accused Nicolas.
