Somnath Chatterjee to visit Bangladesh

Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee will arrive in Dhaka to address the lawmakers of Bangladesh’s newly elected Parliament.
Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee will arrive in Dhaka on Saturday to address the lawmakers of Bangladesh’s newly elected Parliament.
On his three-day visit, the veteran Indian parliamentarian would address the inaugural session of the four-day Parliamentary Orientation Programme on Sunday, officials said. The programme will provide a forum for senior lawmakers, experts and veteran foreign leaders to share their experiences and best practices regarding the parliamentary norms. Chatterjee, also a former president of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, will be accompanied by wife Renu Chatterjee.
