Sri Lanka bus blast kills 23, dozens hurt

Several children have been killed and 67 injured as a bomb rips through a bus in Buttala in South-eastern Sri Lanka around 7:40 am.

At least 23 people, including several children, were killed and 67 injured on Wednesday when a bomb ripped through a bus in Buttala in South-eastern Sri Lanka.

The bus was carrying large number of school children when the explosion took place around 7:40 am, police sources said, adding the explosives were placed inside the bus.
