Taliban leader Fazlullah not hurt, says associate

A spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban has said militant leader Maulana Fazlullah is in good health, rejecting the claims by security forces that he was wounded in a military offensive in the country's northwest, the Online news agency reported.

A spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban has said militant leader Maulana Fazlullah is in good health, rejecting the claims by security forces that he was wounded in a military offensive in the country's northwest, the Online news agency reported.

Pakistan military spokesman Maj Gen Athar Abbas, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar told the media several times that the Swat Taliban chief Fazlullah was critically injured during the military operation.

Tehreek-e-Taliban spokesman Muslim Khan said on Thursday Fazlullah was not wounded in the military operation. And Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud is also alive.
