United Nations envoy Ibrahim Gambari flies out of Myanmar after meeting the junta boss and Suu Kyi.
United Nations envoy Ibrahim Gambari flew out of army-ruled Myanmar on Tuesday after meeting junta chief Than Shwe and a second session of talks with detained opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
Before flying out, Gambari returned briefly to the government guest house where he met the 62-year-old Nobel laureate on Saturday for another meeting with "The Lady", as she is known.

Gambari cancelled a last-minute briefing for Yangon-based diplomats at the end of a four-day visit meant to persuade the generals to end their crackdown on the biggest democracy protests in 20 years and to talk to Suu Kyi's political opposition.
