The US pilotless aircraft fired three missiles at a village near Mirali, a main town in North Waziristan.

Reports said that missiles struck house of a local tribal man. There was no immediate report on the identity of those killed in the strike. US officials say that al-Qaeda and Taliban militants plan attacks on the US-led foreign troops across the border into Afghanistan.

It is second drone strike in North Waziristan in less than 10 days. On August 15 US drone killed at least 12 militants in Issori village in North Waziristan.
