Samirkumar Shah, resident of Armstrong county, could be jailed for maximum 10 years and fined 250,000 dollar if found guilty.

A federal grand jury indicted the physician on Tuesday on two counts of healthcare fraud. The indictment was returned against him in the Pittsburgh court, according to documents.

Shah knowingly and wilfully executed a scheme to defraud healthcare benefit programs such as Medicare and Medicaid in connection with the delivery of and payment for healthcare benefits, items and services, US Attorney David Hickton said.
