A lion at a Japanese zoo was filmed trying to pounce on a toddler, with full force, only to be stopped by a protective glass wall.

A lion at a Japanese zoo was filmed trying to pounce on a toddler, with full force, only to be stopped by a protective glass wall.

The incident was captured by a visitor at Chiba Zoological Park in Tokyo.

The video, which is now going viral on social media, shows a little boy turning his back on the lion enclosure. After a few seconds, the lion charges at him. But it was stopped by the glass wall.

The lion-- reportedly weighing over 180kg-- can be seen scrambling after smashing into the glass wall.

Surprisingly, the toddler doesn’t seem terrified and or run away. He simply turns around to face the lion.
