Bipasha Basu, Karan wedding: Stars wish them ‘blessed new beginnings’

Actor Bipasha Basu’s gorgeous engagement ring has been making news and now it is the wedding card that has everyone talking

After much ado about it and speculations abound, actors Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover have finally announced their wedding, slated for April 30th. The invites have been sent out too. And everyone seems to be gushing about not just the lovely cards but also the huge rock Bips has been wearing on her ring finger. The engagement ring has a stunning solitaire.

Well, if sources are to be believed, the wedding trousseau promises to be equally stunning, even if the wedding ceremony is kept intimate.

Earlier Bipasha’s close friend designer Rocky S was expected to design the wedding outfits, but now fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has been finalised for it. “I had told Bipasha that whenever she gets married, I will design her outfits. But I have been really busy for the past few months. So, I just didn’t have the time to do it. I thought I rather not do it than creating something in a hurry, which is not good enough,” says the Rocky S, adding, “I’m sure he (Sabyasachi) will do a great job.” Rocky informs that the couple will get married in an intimate Bengali wedding on the morning of April 30, this will be followed by a reception on the same night. The mehendi ceremony will be held on April 29.

Bipasha, who was Grover’s co-star in the film Alone (2013), remained mum about her affair with him all this while. However, on April 7, she tweeted the news to her fans: “We are happy to finally share the good news with everyone. 30th April 2016 is the big day and we cannot thank our family,friends, fans and well wishers enough for all their love and support. The wedding will be a private intimate affair .Our deepest gratitude for respecting our privacy this far .We hope to have your continued blessings and warm wishes as we embark on this new journey together.Love Bipasha and@iamksgofficial.”

Best wishes for the couple have been pouring in from the film industry.

Bipasha also shared a picture of Twitter with friend and fitness trainer Deanne Pandey, from latter’s instagram account. Pandey captioned the picture as, “I think happiness is what makes you pretty.Period.Happy people are beautiful.They become like a mirror and they reflect that happiness @bipashabasu stay the happy person that you are always .. Love you.”
