Actor Deepika Padukone says her next film, Cocktail, may once again see her paired with Saif Ali Khan, but it is totally different from their previous outing together, Love Aaj Kal (LAK).

“I play Veronica, someone who is self assured, confident about life and the way she conducts herself,” she says, adding, “The film is a love story but it is also about friendship, betrayal, fun, trust... so I think is very different from LAK.”

Initially, Deepika was offered to choose from either of the roles in Cocktail — the one that she is playing and the one essayed by her co-star, debutante Diana Penty. “Producer Dinesh Vijan was kind enough to offer me both the roles and asked me to choose the one I would like to play. I took it as a challenge. Even Imitiaz said my role in LAK is so similar to the other character of this film ... so it would be interesting for me to play Veronica.”
