Meng Jianzhu, a senior leader of the Communist Party of China, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Wednesday, the External Affairs Ministry said.

Meng became a member of the politburo in November 2012 and succeeded Zhou Yongkang as the secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission.
