Royal itinerary: William-Kate’s week-long trip to India, Bhutan

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, aka Will-Kat, will have a packed schedule from Day 1 of their maiden visit to India, which begins in Mumbai on Sunday.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will arrive in Mumbai and stay at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel, a gesture being perceived as a show of solidarity towards victims of the 26/11 terror attacks

They will participate in a cricket match between beneficiaries and representatives of three charity organisations at the Oval Maidan In the evening, the British high commission and the British Asian Trust will host a gala dinner attended by the who’s who from the business world and several filmstars.

The royal couple will fly from Mumbai to New Delhi and visit the Gandhi Smriti to honour the memory of Mahatma Gandhi and lay a wreath at India Gate war memorial

They will attend a birthday party for The Queen at the home of the British envoy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a lunch for the couple William and Kate will travel from Delhi to Kaziranga in Assam.

They will enjoy a drive at the Kaziranga National Park The couple will also visit the Kaziranga Discovery Centre built by a charity founded by Mark Shand, the late brother of Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.

The royal couple will travel to Bhutan for two days.

William and Kate will return to India from Bhutan and visit the Taj Mahal in Agra, before flying back to Britain.
