African migrants washed ashore in Libya

Migrants who attempted to make the dangerous journey across the Mediterranean drowned after their boat capsized in the ocean, in all probability. As of 4th June, 129 bodies are supposed to have been pulled out from the water near the western Libyan city of Zwara. Local authorities were unable to confirm the dates or the circumstances under which the people had died. Libyan coastguards found an empty boat drifting on Thursday. Speculations were rife that the vessel, that mostly carried African migrants, had capsized a day earlier.
