Lendl Simmons produced a brilliant 51-ball 82 to power West Indies into the World T20 final with a seven-wicket win over India in the second semifinal at Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium on Thursday.

Soon after the match, former Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim expressed his happiness at India’s loss as he posted a picture of him watching MS Dhoni’s post-match press conference.

The tweet caused an uproar on Twitter and minutes after putting out the tweet, Rahim deleted it from his account.

Later, he posted an apology from his Twitter handle saying he is a big West Indies fan.

Earlier in the tournament, Bangladesh were defeated by India in the group stage by just 1 run and the semi-final’s last-over finish had quite a few similarities with that game.
