The month of March brought big bucks to the world of Indian art. As two leading art houses made over 150 artworks go under the hammer, many sold for double the estimated prices, while new record prices were attained. At the Osian’s Master-pieces Series Auction, sales accumulated over Rs 18 crore while the online auction house, Saffronart garnered sales worth Rs 21 crore. Subodh Gupta’s Doot — Rs 1.75 crore
FN Souza’s Decomposing Head — Rs 1.57 crore
