“This year, our event called Show Off will offer a visual treat to its viewers by presenting its ace style — jazz funk —and other genres such as lyrical, contemporary, old school jazz, hip hop and a very special Michael Jackson tribute,” says Mrigakshi Jaiswal, a senior instructor. She adds, “Some of our senior students will showcase the after-effects of the atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki through lyrical contemporary choreography while others will perform a jazz-funk routine that takes a stance against smoking and drugs.”

The event will be held on January 10 at St. Andrew’s Auditorium, Bandra (W). Over 130 students will perform a range of dance styles rehearsed over the past two months. Recently, a few students from the academy shot and uploaded a parody video of ‘Gangnam style’ featuring a Psy lookalike. The video has received close to 4,000 views over the fortnight.
