Statues from granite rocks

The garden of granite sculptures is a site outside the village of Laongo, some 30 kms east of Ouagadougou, where artists from all over the world are invited every two years since 1998, to create new statues.

The garden of granite sculptures is a site outside the village of Laongo, some 30 kms east of Ouagadougou, where artists from all over the world are invited every two years since 1998, to create new statues. It was started in the early 1990s at the site that naturally contains large granite rocks.
