Asmita Theatre Group
They are going to start a two week long workshop — Theatre for Change, Theatre for Society — later this month. Here, the students would work on street plays and stage productions based on societal issues. The other workshops include classes for children of the age group 8-15 years. Another workshop for children, called Katha, is organised by the group to teach techniques like improvisation and body language. All the workshops here are conducted by Arvind Gaur, a well known theatre personality.

Yellowcat’s Theatre Workshop
The teachers here help the participants to be imaginative and creative as they learn theatre. The participants here are introduced to the process of play development, and in four months, they brainstorm, experiment, write, improvise and act out their own plays. They come out with a production at the end of the workshop. The workshop focuses on stories — as they are heard, read, told, found, experienced, imagined and performed. Participants explore different ways in which to tell and perform. The workshop is organised for participants of the age group 8-14 years.

Purva Theatre Workshop
This drama and creative arts workshop is conducted for children and adults for personality development and enhancement of acting skills. The workshop is ideal for beginners, as they incorporate the skills and technicalities involved in acting. Over a period of three weeks, the students get well versed and equipped to take to the stage, be it a street play or a stage production. The workshops include fun games and exercises. They also organise special weekend workshops for working professionals.

Fade In 3i acting workshops
Two kinds of workshops are conducted here. The first is the Intensive Acting Workshop, which involves techniques such as body movements. It is specially designed for actors. The Improvisational Theatre Workshops constitute of exercises and games that help the participants open up on the stage. The workshops are conducted for a period of ten days and in different batches.

Ateliers Theatre Workshop
Come here to get trained in the skill of street plays. With separate batches for children and adult, the workshops are conducted on the weekends, all round the year. Super Sundays, their workshop for children is conducted only on Sundays for a duration of three months. Under this the participants are taught the basics of acting. The weekend workshop for adults aims at enhancing techniques such as improvisation. Only 14 candidates are short-listed for this workshop. On its conclusion, the participants present a 30 minute production.

Barry John’s Acting Studio
This acting school, from where actors such as Shah Rukh Khan have learned the art, will be holding Young Artists Club, a two-month-long theatre workshop, next month. Conducted over the weekends, the workshop will be held at nine different venues, and will be for participants of the age group 8-17 years. The participants will work on expressions — both verbal and physical, write scripts and also direct a play themselves. They will also come out with a production on the conclusion of the workshop. The participants will be able to write scripts based on their ideas. Registrations are open.

Sparsh Natya Rang
Workshops by Sparsh Natya Rang are divided on the basis of age. There’s a month-long workshop for participants for the age group 8-16 years, where they work on productions based on contemporary issues and educational topics. For 18 years plus, the workshop basically enrolls those who want to pursue theatre as a career. Stage presence, expressions, voice modulation, and a number of other theatre techniques are taught here. They also conduct workshops for street plays.
