Madhya Pradesh: 60-year-old woman raped in Bhind

Unidentified miscreants allegedly killed a 60-year-old woman after raping her and smashed her head with a heavy stone and escaped with valuables and cash worth over Rs 1 lakh at Nayagaon village in Bhind district on Sunday.

Unidentified miscreants allegedly killed a 60-year-old woman after raping her and smashed her head with a heavy stone and escaped with valuables and cash worth over Rs 1 lakh at Nayagaon village in Bhind district on Sunday.

Police said the woman used to live alone in her house. They suspect that the woman was asleep when the incident occurred. Police said the woman could have probably been tied up, before the miscreants raped her.

SDO (police) JP Shakya said the body was sent for postmortem. Meanwhile, Nayagaon police have registered a case of loot and homicide under relevant sections of the IPC.
