Close on the heels of the controversy over a local BJYM leader allegedly thrashing a trader, who later died, leading to outrage, a person on Thursday accused a BJP leader of threatening to kill him, if he went ahead with litigation against him (the leader) in the court.
District vice-president of BJP, Kuldeep Khare had allegedly brutally beaten up Sanjeev Mishra in March 2013 at Shahid Bhawan, following an argument. Mishra had lodged an FIR at Jahangirabad against Kuldeep last year.
Mishra and Khare both went to district court on Thursday to attend the hearing of the case. However, according to Mishra, after attending the hearing, Khare threatened him saying if he (Mishra) went ahead with the litigation, he (Khare) will kill him.
Later, Mishra also submitted a written complaint at MP Nagar police station, in Bhopal, on Thursday. MP Nagar police said they have accepted the complaint from Mishra and started investigation in the case.
