All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Monday took a dig at the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh over the FIR that was registered against him in the case of appointments in Assembly secretariat.
Singh tweeted: "Speed with which GOMP works. FIR filed in '2015 against me and Sriniwas Tiwari and others for appointment made between '93 and '03!" He later tweeted that Justice Dwivedi committee recommended CBI inquiry in 2006 to investigate appointments in Vidhan Sabha and the FIR has been filed after 12 years.
Three more tweets followed in which Singh took up this issue. He wrote that the decision taken to file FIR only after VYAPAM (PEB scam) case hot up. "Would MP hand over this case and VYAPAM to CBI? I doubt," he wrote.
The former MP chief minister also raised the issue of MP Bar Association's boycott of MP's chief justice court for three weeks. In the last tweet, he wrote, "Would law minister GOI and Hon Supreme Court pl intervene to break the deadlock in the interest of people of MP? CM MP? Can he?"
