7 Khoon Maaf opens to low collections

Vishal Bhardwaj's much-hyped Priyanka Chopra starrer, 7 Khoon Maaf has opened to a lukewarm response across the country, reports Bollywood Hungama. The business was extremely low at the single screens, but slightly better at multiplexes.

Keeping in view the combined goodwill of director Bhardwaj and Priyanka, the low collections have come as a shocker. Vishal's last movie Kaminey was a blockbuster, which further raised expectations from the film.

"The business was shockingly low at single screens [8% to 10%], but slightly better at multiplexes [15% to 20%]," Taran Adarsh said.

The movie had got mixed reviews from critics.

Weekend could be equally tough for the movie as it faces competition from World Cup slated to start on Saturday.
