Touted as India’s biggest biopic, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is ready to go on the floors. Actor Farhan Akthar (far left), who plays the famous athlete Milkha Singh in the film, has groomed himself for the shoot and developed an athlete’s body for the sports-drama.

Writer Prasoon Joshi and director Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra have been extremely happy with the pre-production. As the latter wanted the most appropriate location, he finalised Firozpur after visiting many towns in Punjab. “Most of the film is set there,” says Mehra.

The shoot will begin post Holi on March 9.
