Are Students of the Year Tara Sutaria and Sidharth Malhotra dating? ‘Fireworks toh hai’, she says

Reacting to reports of dating Sidharth Malhotra, debutant Tara Sutaria has said that she believes in the saying ‘love thy neighbour’, adding “we are just great friends”.

Actor Tara Sutaria, who is set for her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s production, Student of the Year 2, has finally reacted to rumours that she is dating Sidharth Malhotra, who made his debut with the first Student of the Year in 2012. While insisting that she is not ‘dating’ Sidharth, Tara admitted that their chemistry is “fireworks”.

Tara Sutaria and Sidharth Malhotra will soon be seen together in Marjaavan.

Speaking with Ishq FM during a promotional interview for her upcoming film, Tara said, “No we are not dating each other. He’s my padosi and love thy neighbour for sure I mean why not? But well, we are just great friends.”

Fellow debutant Ananya Panday and their co-star Tiger Shroff, who also accompanied Tara for the interview, kept pulling her leg and she added, “We talk often...we talk about our film..I also got my second film with him. Of course we also talk about other things too..Ananya, Tiger (laughs). It’s the whole padosi pyaar kind of a lovely chat.”

When the interviewer mentioned that Tara and Sidharth are working in a film together -Marjaavan - Tara said about their chemistry, “Fireworks toh hai” (There are fireworks).

Slated for a May 10 release, Student of the Year 2 is a sequel to Karan Johar’s 2012 film, which launched the careers of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth.

The makers have already released two songs from the film –The Jawani song and Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan. While the first one was a remake of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani from the 1970s, the second song is being compared to Radha song from Student of The Year. Alia Bhatt has a special song in the new film where she will be seen dancing with Tiger Shroff. Titled Hook Up song, the new number will be released on Tuesday.
