Audience is still waiting for good thriller films: Anshuman Jha
Actor Anshuman Jha talks about the need of having good thrillers films in Bollywood.
Actor Anshuman Jha is best known for his role as Rahul in Dibakar Banerjee’s Love Sex Aur Dhoka . Now as he gears up for the release of his horror-thriller film, the actor believes that Indian audience is waiting for a good film in a similar genre.
“If you look at Indian audience, they are waiting for horror films to hit the screens. All the international horror films are doing so well here and their box-office numbers are phenomenal. However, that’s not the same case in Bollywood,” says Jha, who plays a nerd in the film.
The 30-year-old actor adds, “Thriller is a genre where you can lose the audience’s attention very easily. So, one has to be careful about this.”

Talking about the growing marketing and new promotional techniques that films use, the actor says he does not believe in following the often-taken road.
“I am a firm believer in not forming templates and I am confident of what I am saying. Every film is unique and has to be sold in a unique manner. You can’t sell a thriller like you sell a comedy film. You can’t follow the pattern of promoting the same as all other films. Unfortunately, templates are the thing which is how we work. I am no one to say what is right or wrong,” he says.
