It was a night of movies, music and memories, as the second Chevrolet Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) took place recently at the Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon.

Hosted by actors Ranveer Singh and Neha Dhupia, the grand evening saw stellar acts by both musicians and Bollywood celebrities Performances by Midival Punditz with Shubha Mudgal, Papon and Kailash Kher, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Sonu Nigam and Pyarelal, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with the Shillong Chamber Choir, Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan wowed audiences.

A total of 31 awards under the Film and Non-Film categories were presented. While Dabangg led the way with seven wins, it was in a neck-to-neck fight with Milan Luthria’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, which bagged four trophies.

“It’s been a fantastic journey and the music has played the most important contribution to the success of Dabangg,” said producer Arbaaz Khan.
