After sending shivers down many spines with her just-released chiller, Raaz 3D (2012), Bipasha Basu is preparing to straighten spines with her second fitness DVD, Break Free, which will hit stores by the end of this month. “The master has been ready for a while. But I’ve been working every day and, then, been busy with the promotions of my film.I haven’t been able to spare time for my business venture. To promote it a little, I postponed the launch. It’s going to live up to its title and brand name, BB Love Yourself,” she asserts.
Her first DVD, BB Love Yourself: Fit and Fabulous You, promoted a 25-minute, 60-day workout for women. “It puts all the muscles through a litmus test. If you give half-an-hour a day to this, without going to the gym, you will end up looking and feeling good,” she says.
The second DVD is a unisex workout that focuses on weight loss. The third will be on how to get a great bikini body like hers in Players (2012). Bipasha will be sharing beach secrets, a six-week workout and a high-protein diet that helped her get into shape for the role. “I wore a bikini for the first time in Dhoom:2 (2006). It was bold at the time. but I’ve never shied away from a dare,” she says, reminding you that she started her career with a negative role in a film about wife-swapping, Ajnabee (2001), following it up with a horror film, Raaz (2002). “Both were hits and so was Jism (2003), even though my manager warned me I was killing my career by playing Sonia. But I was accepted as a mainstream actor.No Entry (2005) proved she was good for a comedy and Bollywood dancing. Omkara (2006) projected her as a village belle, and Corporate (2006), as a woman of substance. It’s been 11 years and the experiments continue."
