Deepika is special, I can’t express in words: Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were recently seen in Bajirao Mastani.

Having worked together in three films (including a special appearance in Finding Fanny; 2014), actor Ranveer Singh says he can trust Deepika Padukone enough to not get tensed up before a scene with her.

“The day I know that I am going to do a scene with her; I am not worried or concerned as I know that I can trust her. I can look into her eyes and connect with her and then the scene will happen because she is a very trusting and giving actor,” he says.

Ranveer, who is rumoured to be in a relationship with Deepika, adds, “I hope that I continue to do movies with her, though it would be nice to explore other spaces (genres). We have worked both times under the guidance of Mr Bhansali. So I hope that the jodi is repeated again in his next film too but working with her in another space would be really interesting.”

And does it help that he has a solid real-life equation with her? “Film sets are a very different environment. It’s very professional. She is the most supportive co-actor. If you are struggling with something or having some difficulty, you know you can count on her for support.” Deepika calls him a “special person”. Is she a special person for him too? “Oh yes! Of course, she is special, in a way that I can’t express in words (smiles),” says Ranveer.
