Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, who have been friends for a long time now, continue to prove that two actresses can be friends. The duo is set to shoot for an elaborate lavani number together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next, and they have been chatting extensively about how it will pan out.

We’re told that the song will be shot over five days, but the actresses will have only two days to rehearse their moves. Undoubtedly, this will be a challenge, so Priyanka and Deepika are constantly in touch over the phone, discussing how they will put their best foot forward.

“They are both thorough professionals, so no one — including Bhansali — doubts that they will pull it off perfectly,” says an insider. Just recently, Priyanka had spoken about the song, saying, “It will be a great experience. I don’t remember seeing a song like this since ‘Dola re’ in Devdas (2002; Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit Nene danced together).”

Deepika, too, is said to be excited about the number, and has been bonding with her co-star for a while now. She recently told HT Café, “Priyanka is a fantastic actor and is my friend. Women don’t have issues with each other all the time. I have heard a lot of stories [about heroines not getting along], but I feel that the perception is changing, and it’s no longer the reality.”

The two actresses even appeared together on Karan Johar’s reality show, and have shown great camaraderie on social media, and when they meet at events. Deepika recently told us, “I have known Priyanka since I was nobody. She was one of the top actresses at that time. I knew her through common friends when I wasn’t even in the modelling industry. Even today, I am very comfortable around her.
