“Rana recommended Bipasha for the item number, as he sincerely believed that she will do justice to it. RGV acknowledged the recommendation, but without informing Rana, went ahead and signed Nathalia Kaur for it,” says a source, adding that this really upset Rana, who plays the lead in the film. While RGV remained unavailable for comment, Rana and Bipasha’s spokespersons denied any such favouritism. “This is untrue. Rana never recommended anyone and completely respects RGV for all his decisions,” said Rana’s spokesperson, while Bipasha’s publicist too said that it’s “not true”.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor, another actor Bipasha was said to be dating, has reportedly suggested her name to director Siddharth Anand for the desi remake of Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz starrer Knight and Day.
