has an impressive star cast - Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Highway star Randeep Hooda apart from Sanjay Dutt, Angad Bedi, Neil Bhoopalam in smaller roles. It had the backing of filmmaker Karan Johar. It even garnered favourable reviews from critics. However, its outing at the box office has been below par.

Directed by Rensil D'Silva, Ungli is a story of gang of friends, who are shocked at the brutal murder of their friend. The culprit goes scot-free, thanks to his connections with the high and mighty. The apathy of the system further angers them and they decide to take on the system, head-on. The gang is christened the Ungli Gang for the gumption they show in taking on the system. The police, directed by the government, decides to send a mole. What happens thereafter forms the crux of the story.
