Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan’s weight gain has brought to fore India’s double standard towards fat-shaming. The actor, who has not been seen on the screen for some time now, suddenly started trending on Twitter a few days back.

As Twitter made fun of Fardeen Khan for putting on kilos, he has got support from an unlikely source -- Adnan Sami.

As the latest picture of the actor did the rounds, trolls had a field day making fun of him for putting on weight. There were some who asked, “So what?” as well. Adnan Sami, a man who has been at the receiving end of such tweets in the past, has also lent his voice to the debate.

There were many who agreed with Sami.

In the past, leading ladies of Bollywood including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan and Parineeti Chopra have been fat-shamed.
