The Khiladi-turned-Rowdy Rathore is back to doing what he is best at in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Paired opposite Sonakshi Sinha, Akki plays the head of an anti-corruption body.

To be directed by Krish, Gabbar is an remake of Tamil film Ramana, helmed by AR Murugadoss.

It was later remade in Telugu as Tagore with Chiranjeevi in the lead and then in Kannada as Vishnu Sena with Vishnuvardhan in the lead role.

"It's an out-and-out . The film is a mix of comedy and drama," said Krish, who makes his directorial debut with the film.

Apart from Akshay and Shruti Haasan, the film will also feature Prakash Raj and Sonu Sood. Kareena Kapoor Khan will make a special appearance in the movie in a dance number.
