UTV Motion Pictures have released the first trailer of their upcoming film Satyagraha- Democracy Under Fire.

The national film award winner returns with Satygraha - a voice against a corrupt and unjust system.

All characters Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal look strong enough to carry out a film that claims to depict the first uprising of the common man in our country. The scenes showing police attack on public and candle light protests are captured perfectly, we feel.

Watch for yourself and share your thoughts.

Prakash Jha is known to make films on socio-political themes - Damul (1984), Mrityudand (1997), Gangaajal (2003), Apaharan (2005), Raajneeti (2010) and Chakravyuh (2012).

Filmmaker Prakash Jha's Satyagraha will be screened in South Africa because of its "inherent Mahatma Gandhi connection", says a source. "A plan is being auctioned right now for a screening in South Africa for Satyagraha because of its inherent Mahatma Gandhi connection. It is being finalized which cast members will be travelling for the screening," said a source close to the team.

Gandhi’s quote to be featured in Satyagraha?
Filmmaker Prakash Jha’s upcoming political drama Satyagraha, is likely to have a quote from Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography as its prologue.

“Satyagraha as a concept is based on Mahatma Gandhi and Prakashji is planning to start the film with a quote from Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography ‘My Experiments With Truth’,” said a source, adding that nothing is finalised yet. Prakash Jha to launch Satyagraha trailer at Jantar Mantar?
Filmmaker Prakash Jha, who is almost ready with his film Satyagraha, may release the film's trailer at Jantar Mantar in the capital.

Most of the the sit-ins and hunger strikes in Delhi are staged at Jantar Mantar. As Jha's film is a political thriller capturing the current mood of the country, Jantar Mantar could be the ideal place to unveil the trailer.
