Anupam Kher, who refused to return the signing amount when he opted out of Gandhi To Hitler, is now being sued for Rs 2.5 crores by the filmmakers.

Nalin Singh, co-producer of the film, confirmed to a daily that he paid Rs 4 lakhs to Kher after he had signed the contract. But Kher backed out at the last moment after the production work had started.

He didn't even care to inform the filmmakers and announced the news at a press conference saying his fans appealed him not to do the film.

However, Kher, reportedly, feels that the filmmakers are using his name just for publicity and creating this controversy before the release of the film.
